The United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. West, welcomes concert pianist Haig Yaghoobian for a 3 p.m. classical piano recital Sunday, August 26, 2018, to benefit the new organ fund drive at the church.

Mr. Yaghoobian is a native Rhode Islander, and recently relocated to Sun City Center. He is a musician by avocation and an accomplished concert pianist. He has been a regular performer at chamber music venues around the country for decades. In Boston, he has been heard in concert on WGBH FM’s “Performance” series, and at the Berklee Recital Hall. He has also performed at concert halls in New York, San Francisco and London.

Yaghoobian has chosen selections by composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Frederic Chopin. They include Fantasia for Piano in C minor, K. 475 by Mozart and Nocturne in Eb major, Op 9, No 2 and Etude in E major, Op. 10, No.3 by Chopin, among others. The concert will also include a piano/organ duet played by Yaghhoobian and UMCSCC church organist, Keith Rasmussen. A love offering will be taken at the concert.
