On Monday, September 17, the Art Club in Sun City Center is presenting “Drawing Simplified” a demonstration conducted by local artist and teacher Helen Solomon.

Attendees will acquire helpful tips on how to draw with more accuracy and confidence as Helen demonstrates basic drawing techniques. She will also provide attendees with a hands-on opportunity to experience how easy drawing can be. This event is open to both Sun City Center and Kings Point members and will take place in Rollins Theatre at 1:30 p.m. (immediately following the club’s September general membership meeting).

Helen has been teaching art to all levels of students for over 25 years. She focuses on a wide variety of subject matter and works in several mediums (colored pencil, pastels, watercolors, acrylics and oils). She is currently teaching a class in pastels at the Art Club in Sun City Center.

Before moving to Florida in 2003, Helen was an art professor at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Since moving, she became one of the founding members of the South Shore Arts Council and a member of the Tampa Museum of Art.
