The United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. West, welcomes back local favorite, Sun City Center Bluegrass for a concert on Friday night, September 28, 2018 at 7 p.m.

Sun City Center Bluegrass plays a variety of music, with Bluegrass, Country and Gospel all a part of their regular repertoire. Some of the favorites that concert goers may hear include Dear Old Dixie, which features the five-string banjo, Blue Moon of Kentucky, by Bill Monroe, the “father of Bluegrass” (and recorded by his group, The Blue Grass Boys, as well as by Elvis Presley, Ricky Skaggs and others), Swing Low Sweet Chariot, a Gospel selection, and what may well be the favorite Bluegrass number of all time, the ever popular Orange Blossom Special, a fiddle piece written by Irving T. Rouse.

A donation of only $5 is requested at the door on the night of the concert. For additional information about this and other concerts and recitals at the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, please contact Kevin Goodenow, Concert Series Coordinator, at 813-362-0956 or www.sccumc.com.
