Yes, it’s that time again! The Hope Fund announces that their annual Breakfast and Bingo will be held on Saturday, November 17, in the Community Hall South, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Bingo will start at 9:30. Tickets are on sale for $7 and Bingo cards can be bought at the door for $1 apiece. Breakfast and Bingo provides the main source of income for the Hope Fund which is a nonprofit organization run completely by volunteers. Its goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children of Wimauma in which they can learn and grow.

Volunteers from Sun City Center and Kings Point work with one child on a one-to-one basis one hour a week after school during the school year as a tutor, mentor or reader. Children also enjoy a running program, learn chess, work with computers, develop an interest in art and are counseled on nutrition, dealing with bullying and being alert to the danger of human trafficking. “Our priorities are simple: an after-school program” says Carla Miles, President and Founder of the Hope Fund, “but our goals are lofty: change lives!”

Join us for a delightful breakfast and a round or two of Bingo. Should you be interested in volunteering for one of our programs, or make a tax-deductible donation, call 813-634-4268 or 813-634-1247.
